ARCHDIOCESAN DIRECTOR OF ADULT FAITH FORMATION


(St. John’s) Archbishop Martin Currie, Archbishop of St. John’s welcomed Anne Walsh to the staff of the Archdiocese as the Archdiocesan Director of Adult Faith Formation.

One of the roles of Ms. Walsh will be to provide parishes with some quality approaches and resources to help design and implement a comprehensive, parish based adult faith formation effort.

Ms. Walsh originally from St. John’s brings a wealth of experience to the new position. Most recently, she spent six years as the Lay Pastoral Associate at Holy Redeemer Parish, Sudbury, Ontario;w here she was responsible for catechetical ministries with adults, children and youth.

She has also served as Diocesan Director for Catechetics in the Diocese of Grand Falls, and Coordinator of Religious Education for the former Gander Roman Catholic School Board.

She also brings to the position a strong background in Youth Ministry and University Chaplaincy, and was a classroom teacher for a number of years.

She is now in the process of completing the course work for a Doctorate in ministry at St. Stephen’s College, Edmonton. She holds a Master’s Degree in Religious Education, a Graduate Diploma in Fine Arts, a Graduate Certificate in Youth Ministry Studies and a Bachelor of Education.

Ms. Walsh said that she is looking forward to working with individuals involved in the catechetical process at the parish and/or regional level as a resource person.
